Wow, where has the time gone? I can't believe it was May since I posted last, and we are already half way through June.
To get you all up to speed...
School was officially over June 10th. I am now the proud parent of a 7th grader and a 5th grader!! Oh, and a preschooler! Yes, I said preschooler...Paisley will be starting preschool this fall at the Growing Tree Preschool. She is so excited & can't wait to go to "the big school" like her sisters. Lets hope she says excited, come September!
We finished our first full regular spring season of soccer with Greencastle United, and threw in a few tournaments for fun. The girls loved it...were challenged by new coaches and competition, and fell in love with soccer all over again. It was so much fun to watch them grow as athletes!
Our garden is well under way, thanks to Dustin's hard work. In a few short months we will be enjoying fresh potatoes, green beans, red beets, and of course (my favorite) corn on the cob!! I've already harvested the majority of my strawberry crop, and managed to make several "batches" of freezer jelly, as well as pass on quite a few quart of extra berries.
Dustin and some of the guys spent an afternoon at a Longhorn auction a few weeks back, which turned into an increase in herd size. We are now up to 19 cows on our little farm. 11 of which are Texas Longhorns.
Another BIG and recent change for our family is Dustin's job. As the beginning of June, he took a position as Transportation Supervisor at Martin's Famous Pastry Shoppe. Yes...that would be the home of the Martin's Potato Roll! :) And, no...there is no family relation!
